projectile weapons are dope because ejecting cartridges as you go is both aesthetic as fuck and unironically the best way for a weapon to operate in vacuum. Hybrid weapons that turn cartridge rounds into energy bolts are also a super cool way to make holes downrange.

I love em all! From the realistic weapons in 'Children of a Dead Earth' to the somewhat fantastical weapons like the ones in Star Wars and all the ones in between! I am a huge fan of the Battletech/Mechwarrior system, where energy, missile, and ballistic weapons all have advantages and disadvantages when compared to each-other. For a specific weapon? I LOVE ballistic weapons with high velocities: Gauss Rifles (Coilguns), Railguns, etc. Anything with muzzle velocities over 1.5km/s.
