    the update went thru and now my page is god ugly yay how do I edit my profile/about. The settings page just links me back to my profile, not any actual editing page.

    If you're on mobile I'm not sure, but for PC to edit your about section:
    Click your username, select Account Details, scroll down the page that loads until you're past your fursona information (I got confused by that at first so though I'd mention), and it will have an "About You:" section that's your actual bio

    Also, if you want your personal bio to show up first thing on your page, you'll basically need to erase all the fursona info you have in the fursona details section. It always comes up first, from what I've seen
    If you need the layout/text back from before the site got rebooted, there's a thread in forums where Venthas will try to recover your original bio layout if you request it
